Reinventing
your image? Attend the Big White fashion photoshoot Saturday at
a large professional studio in the Dallas Photo District. Designed
for performing artists and models, this shoot can provide hi-res
images for promo sheets, business card, brochure, web site or
CD packaging.
Studio setup will have a high-key all-white (or can appear gray)
background, with cyclorama (curved corner). Portraits designed
for performing artists, artsy, full-length poses. Can handle medium
sized ensembles and bands.
Fee
($175/1st hour; $75/addit. hr) includes one hi-res airbrushed
image per hour and all ~50 thumbnail images for Facebook; additional
hi-res airbrushed images $75 each. These images can have a white
background making it easy to manipulate for graphics arts uses.
Video DVD available of the complete shoot $25.
Bring your iPod w/good music, instrument, props, hair/makeup,
drink. Discuss your shots with me in advance.
Nikon 24mm 35mm 85mm f1.8; 105mm/f2.8 lenses, Paul Buff
and Norman strobes, PocketWizards, fan for blowing hair. Studio:
30' white cyc, 30'x 30' white floor, dressing room, makeup mirror,
AC/heat. Includes lighting assistants, free parking.
***Photographers*** You can attend the Lighting Workshop Class
that Saturday at 8:30a-12p, $125. You will learn how to use strobe
lights in lighting the subject and background in a large white
studio with cyclorama. Some brief tutoring on aperture, shutter
speed, and ISO for studio work. You will learn how to setup strobe
lights from scratch, shoot a model (supplied) with your own DSLR
camera, and observe a professional shoot of a client. Lunch &
handout supplied! A video-DVD
is available of your lesson, $25. Class size limited to 5 students.
Dr. Mike is a photographer and multimedia developer in the music/arts
industry; and also a social science professor. Studio is near
I-35 & Medical, near Irving Blvd.
