s we present our 17th subscription season, Texas Camerata is proud to continue our tradition of presenting unparalleled historical performances featuring the rich and varied repertoire of the Baroque and Classical periods.
The 2007-08 series opens with a dazzling concert of Baroque trumpet music featuring Texas Camerata trumpeter Adam Gordon and the finest Baroque trumpeters from the Dallas- Fort Worth area and across the United States. We continue the season with a concert celebrating the life of Dietrich Buxtehude that includes a brilliant array of guest artists: harpsichordist Larry Palmer, gambist James Brown, and vocalists Kathleen Brown and Scot Cameron. Don't miss the exciting New World premier in January 2008 of the Spanish zarzuela Las Nuevas Armas de Amor (The New Arms of Love), and the vocal artistry of Ava Pine in April 2008.

From the monumental compositions of Bach and Handel to the intimate chamber works of composers such as Isabella Leonardo and Marin Marais, each concert invites you to experience beautiful music on period instruments, with the aesthetic the composers themselves intended.
